Onto WFC matters : the club are still going to stick with Kids For A Quid, the promotion is going to cover both the Crewe and Barnsley games (I think – I haven’t got the info with me), although accompanying adults will have to pay what I think is a rather stiff £15. Whilst I obviously applaud KFAQ – and hope that WFC actually do some proper marketing this time – stinging the adults isn’t going to tempt too many into taking it up. Why not just make it £10 for adults? It wouldn’t hurt, it wouldn’t alienate the existing ST holders, and who knows : we may even get some more people going…..
Dumb Rumour Of The Week : JH to Watford. With Wooter and Smart in return. JH was reportedly seen at Vicarage Road on Friday, which adds fuel to this particular fire. Coincidentally, JH has apparently not travelled up with the squad for Boro tomorrow, he’s training with the reserves. Ceefax hint that it’s an “injury”. So obviously the food poisoning excuse wore thin.
Finally, certain ex-manager is linked with Luton job, despite quitting previous job “to spend more time with family”. Hmm.
